HGHG conducted our second online Home Composting Workshop for Bajaj Electricals on 9 June, 2022. 90 employees attended, to learn the basics of how to get a simple home composting session started. Participants asked many pertinent questions, such as:
“What precautions do we need to take keeping in mind the upcoming monsoons?”
“Since moisture control is critical, should we dry the food scraps before composting?”
This showed the employees were engaged and eager to learn, and also made it an interactive and lively session.
Home composting is a powerful way to reduce food scraps from going to the landfill, with many benefits. It’s good for the environment, it’s a great way for the family to be involved, it’s a learning experience for all, and a feel- good experience for sure when you see the rich results of your efforts! HGHG’s effort is to get more people and communities aware of, and explore the possibility of home composting.
